Congress is not able to digest the defeat in Maharashtra Assembly elections. Congress leaders have still not been able to come out of the shock of defeat. Senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has now given a statement regarding this. He said that the main reason for the defeat in the assembly elections was the discussion on seat sharing for two weeks, due to which very little time was left for campaigning. If seat sharing had happened on time, Congress would have got time to campaign, which it did not get. He said that no planning for the election campaign could be done because there was no time. Vijay Wadettiwar said that Congress state president Nana Patole and Sanjay Raut spent two weeks in seat sharing.

Controversy in Indi alliance, Congress unable to digest defeat in Maharashtra

He said that there were many reasons for the defeat in the assembly elections. One of the reasons is that we spent 20 days in seat sharing. At that time prominent leaders like Nana Patole, Sanjay Raut were prominent. If a decision on seat sharing had been taken in two days, time would have been available for planning. We did not do any planning because we did not get time. There was no joint program of the three parties. There are many reasons for the defeat in the elections. I think this is the main reason why the seat sharing process got delayed. It would have been beneficial if Mahavikas Aghadi in Maharashtra had taken a decision on seat sharing in two days. 20 days were spent in division. This suspicion is being raised that this was done as part of some conspiracy or planning.

Sanjay Raut said this

While giving a statement, Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut said that no meeting of India alliance has been held till now after the Lok Sabha elections. This is not good for India alliance. Tejashwi Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav and Omar Abdullah all say that the India alliance no longer exists. If this type of feeling arises in the minds of people, then the largest party of the alliance, Congress, is responsible for this. He said that there is no communication, no dialogue, no discussion. Everything is not well in the India alliance, people have doubts about it. If it is the role of the Congress Party that an alliance was formed for the Lok Sabha elections, now it is not needed, then it should announce it. He said that let me tell you one thing that if this alliance breaks then there will be no alliance again.
